Creating A Great Pitch Deck
Marketing and Branding
Authenticity, Competence, and Reliability
We’ve found these to be the three key ingredients in sales pitches that separate the “good” from the “great”.
We call them: The Winning Formula
Why these elements?
1. Authenticity: Originality is attractive
In today’s saturated market, we’ve all seen our fair share of generic pitches.
While a safe, “blend-in” approach still works for some, those who truly stand out are the ones with unique personalities.
Steve Jobs called them “The Crazy Ones”. “You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them” he said.
Authenticity gets people to look your way.
2. Competence: Demonstrate that you know what you are doing
In business, if you can’t demonstrate competence, potential customers won’t entrust you with their challenges.
Think about it – when was the last time you dined at a restaurant without checking online reviews?
Even if the place seems charming and affordable, most of us rely on reviews to gauge competence before spending our money.
This principle applies across industries – from SaaS products to legal services to e-commerce sites.
Today’s consumers do their research, demanding proof of competence before making a commitment.
3. Reliability: Delivering consistently
Being great at something is no longer enough — you need to demonstrate consistent excellence.
Going back to that Italian restaurant analogy, do you base your decision on a single review?
No, you scan multiple reviews, and if the ratings dip below stellar, you might even delve into the negative ones. Why?
Because consistency matters.
You want to be sure they deliver a great experience every time.
This holds true for any product or service.
With so many options readily available, consumers have the power to check all the boxes before making a purchase or hiring a service.
The Power of the Formula
This is the core of our Winning Formula. When we work with clients on pitch decks, everything we do revolves around showcasing these three crucial elements.
Client feedback consistently reinforces the effectiveness of this approach.
